Counseling & Referrals

Greenwoods offers mental health assessments to anyone who lives or works in Litchfield County. Following an assessment, clients are matched with a clinician either in our network of 150 private practice providers or one of our in-house clinicians, whoever best meets the needs of the client.

We know that many people don’t seek mental health services because of the assumed cost. With our financial aid program, Greenwoods can subsidize a portion of treatment.

Medication Management

Medication management is available through our Psychiatric APRN, Garrit Cerruto. The first session with Garrit consists of a comprehensive evaluation aimed to assess treatment needs. Personal and family history, symptoms, and goals are discussed to guide in the creation of an appropriate treatment plan. By consulting with a client’s therapist, Garrit can prescribe and oversee progress to ensure clients can achieve their planned, therapeutic outcome. Community Outreach

Our Community Outreach and Recovery Navigators travel Litchfield County informing people of the work we do and helping individuals and their families access the most appropriate treatment for their unique situation. Often people struggle with mental health and addiction problems in isolation. Greenwoods is an access point to treatment for clients struggling with Opioid Use Disorders. By combining our Recovery Navigation services, and our model of assessment and referral, Greenwoods helps clients get appropriate treatment quickly.

Youth Mental Health Program

Greenwoods partners with local schools to provide a school-based mental health program for students and staff. Our school partnerships are unique to the needs of each school. At some, we have offices located in the school, which allows access to treatment for students and staff who would otherwise go without care. For others, we bring our model of assessment and referral to families through consultation with the school.
