The Community Outreach & Recovery Navigators at Greenwoods can help those struggling with addiction and their loved ones with:

  • Evaluating treatment options
  • Addressing barriers to treatment, including financial assistance
  • Clinical services through our Outreach Clinician
  • Connecting families, friends and individuals to community support
  • Harm reduction supplies (delivery available)
    • 13 regular Harm Reduction and Narcan Distribution sites across the county
  • Providing Narcan and Narcan/CPR Training

Our services are free, confidential, and available for anyone living or working in Litchfield County. We are available to meet out in the community and can come to you!

We also provide Narcan and Narcan/CPR Trainings to businesses and community members.

Litchfield County Opiate Task Force

The Litchfield County Opiate Task Force, formed in December of 2013, is led by the McCall Center and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. It has more than 60 members including the Torrington Chief of Police Michael Maniago, Mayor Elinor Carbone, CT State Representatives Roberta Willis and Michelle Cook, CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Community Health and Wellness, Campion Ambulance, the Torrington Area Health District, local substance abuse and mental health treatment providers, people in recovery and parents of those struggling with addiction.

Greenwoods’ Executive Director, John Simoncelli, is proud to be a member of the Executive Committee of the Task Force. Our Outreach team also works closely with the Litchfield County Opiate Task Force to provide harm reduction and other services to the community.
